Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Don‘ hit theatres this Friday, May 13. The comedy drama is garnering great reviews from audiences and critics. Don has raked in commendable box office collections on the first day of its release.
Fans of Tamil cinema in general, and Sivakarthikeyan in particular, have wasted no time in catching ‘Don’ in the theatres. Those who haven’t watched it yet have already made plans to watch it in the cinemas this weekend. However, since Don has released only in the original Tamil language, most non-Tamil speakers have only one option to enjoy the film – watch it on OTT, either with subtitles or in dubbed versions of their preferred language.
This brings us to the question about the ‘Don’ OTT platform and OTT release date. Well, we’ve got definite information about where and when will Don come on OTT. The post-theatrical streaming rights for the film have been bagged by OTT giant Netflix. Also, Don will tentatively release on streaming four weeks after its theatrical release. By that calculation, Don should arrive on Netflix India near about June 10th.
Don is described as a coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama film. It is written and directed by debutant director, Cibi Chakaravarthi. The film is produced by Lyca Productions, alongside Sivakarthikeyan’s own productions banner, Sivakarthikeyan Productions. Besides Sivakarthikeyan, Don stars Priyanka Arul Mohan, S. J. Suryah, Samuthirakani and Soori in pivotal roles. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for Don.
