Tamil romantic comedy film ‘Prince’ starring Sivakarthikeyan in lead role released on 21st October. Despite releasing right close to Diwali, the film received mixed to negative reception from audiences and critics alike. The film underperformed at the box-office and a clash with Karthi’s Sardar that received positive word of mouth did more damage to the film. However, to those people who couldn’t catch Prince at the theatres, Binged is here to report on its digital streaming date. The film will stream on Disney+Hotstar from November 25th. The OTT giant has made an official announcement regarding the same as well.
Prince follows the story of Anbarsan, a secondary school Social Science teacher in Pondicherry. He falls in love with Jessica, a British woman who teaches English in the same school. Their cultural differences and strong opposition from people in their town and families lead to a comedy of errors. The template of the film is very much tried and tested. Sivakarthikeyan’s comic timing was however praised by the critics.
Prince is written and directed by Anudeep KV and produced under the banners of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas and Suresh Productions. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan, Maria Ryaboshapka and Sathyaraj. The music is composed by Thaman S. The cinematography is handled by Manoj Paramahamsa and Editing is done by Praveen K L. Stream Prince exclusively on Disney+Hotstar from November 25th onwards.
