‘Bombay Talkies’ is an anthology film consisting of four short films directed by mavericks like Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee and Anurag Kashyap. It tells the stories of a gay man, a struggling actor, a dancer and a son trying to fulfill the last wish of his father. Bombay Talkies stars wonderful actors like Rani Mukherjee, Saqib Salim, Randeep Hooda and many others.

‘Teen Kanya’, directed by Satyajit Ray is one of the finest anthologies ever made in India. It tells the stories of three girls and their problems and lives. ‘Ajeeb Dastans’ is directed by four filmmakers, Neeraj Ghaywan, Kayoze Irani, Shashank Khaitan and Raj Mehta. It stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Manav Kaul, Jaideep Ahlawat, Shefali Shah, Nusratt Bharuccha and many others. The film tells four stories, ‘Ankahi’, ‘Geeli Pucchi’, ‘Khilauna’, ‘Majnu’. You should definitely watch this one to understand what Indian film industries are doing now in the field of anthologies.
