Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi starrer Double XL were released in theaters in November. The movie as expected was nothing more than an utter disaster.
Still, Netflix has a habit of promoting a film contrary to what Amazon Prime Video does. However, there was not even an announcement let alone any promotion of the film. After significant efforts in promoting a film as bad as Ek Villain Returns this seemed logical to think of Netflix like that but not anymore.
So Double XL has started streaming without any prior notice from Netflix India but doesn’t worry as we are anyway here to inform you of every important update from the OTT industry.
Regardless, Double XL is the story of two women who find their identity and pride in the way they are. It is a well-known fact that the fashion industry is very cruel when it comes to accepting body sizes. The film tells the story of two such women who fight against the prejudices that were present inside them as well.
Regardless, it would be interesting to see if the film garners any decent views on OTT or not. Seeing this trend, the promotions are unlikely, and anyways it wouldn’t have contributed more.
Apart from Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi, the film stars Zaheer Iqbal and Mahat Raghvendra.
