Songs Of The River is a new documentary film which is coming on Disney+ Hotstar. As you may already know, platforms like Netflix and Zee5 have already brought some documentaries.
Even Prime Video is working on some huge investments in the same genre and now is the time for Hotstar.
We know the condition of music in the film industry as we often find them too cliched or terrible. As composing music requires an incredible level of creativity, it is quite understandable that sometimes the composers need to spend a lot of time amidst nature. It helps them garner new ideas and reconnects them with nature.
Songs Of The River on Hotstar tells the same story of how celebrated composer Shantanu Moitra connected with music.
He says that his father often told him to go to Kashi and sit on the bank of Ganga for inspiration. Unfortunately, he couldn’t do so and even lost his father due to COVID.
But on this journey, you would see him riding on a bicycle on roads that are not very hospitable. Also, he meets with an accident and several health issues throughout the journey.
But the documentary also features a lot of prominent musicians and singers. Songs Of The River will start streaming on 15th August on Hotstar.
