Sony Pictures, Ram Madhvani Team Up To Bring One Of A Kind Underwater Thriller

Bollywood is evolving. It is evolving with each passing movie and each coming movie. Bollywood is venturing into newer fields. With esteemed directors and producers on board, everyone is ready to experiment and make one of a kind movie for the audience to watch. Not only are the creators getting into experimenting, but so are the actors. All the big superstars have now signed up for movies that challenge their normal ways of doing movies. Seeing this, two of the big movie creators of Bollywood are also getting into an otherwise unknown zone for filming their next.

We are talking about Ram Madhvani Films and Sony Pictures’ latest venture. Recently, they announced great news regarding their upcoming movie. Both these production houses have now joined hands to create an underwater film that will be completely made for the big screen. The movie is touted to be an underwater thriller and is currently titled “Dive”.

Nitin Parmar, a renowned ad filmmaker will mark his directorial debut with “Dive”. Sony Pictures and Ram Madhvani Films are serving as producers while Neerja Narayanan will serve as an independent executive producer for the film. The movie is written by Renuka Kunzru and promises to be a first-of-its-kind movie. It definitely will be one of a kind, given that “underwater” is one such zone that hasn’t been explored much in films.

When we talk about anything water or underwater related, the only name that pops up in our head is 2009, Akshay Kumar-Sanjay Dutt starrer “Blue”. The movie was completely based in and around water but wasn’t quite able to leave its mark on the audience. Back then, the movie was marked as being innovative but it couldn’t really grasp the audience’s attention.

“Dive” is currently under development. Given that it is an underwater film, makers are definitely planning to spend a lot on the making. Underwater cameras, skilled cameramen, newer techniques to film will cost a lot. Along with all these, the one thing they will have to worry about is a killer story to attract the audience; because that is something the newer generation of audience now craves for more.

If you are aware of what has been going on around, “Dive” is not exactly the first movie that will be filmed “off” land. Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming movie “Fighter” is also being planned as a movie that will become India’s first aerial-action film. That clearly means a huge part of the scene will be filmed up high in the air. So, we already have two interesting films that have taken a different route for filming. It will be interesting to see how the movies pan out.

“Dive” at the moment has no release date announced and the creators haven’t mentioned any actors for the film as of now.
