SonyLIV has released the teaser for its upcoming original series ‘Jehanabad- Of Love & War’ and it appears to be one intriguing crime drama story. Showrun by national award winning filmmaker Sudhir Mishra, ‘Jehanabad- Of Love & War’ will premiere soon only on SonyLIV.
‘Jehanabad- Of Love & War’ teaser begins with two men riding around town on a motorbike having a discussion about someone. All seems normal until they throw a bomb in an official compound and leave behind a bag with a man’s head on its gate.
Towards the end of the teaser Parambrata Chattopadhyay can be seen being uncuffed by a police constable who also hands him a bar of soap w it h engraving. Meanwhile, the off screen narrator can be heard singing song about revolution, quoting “Laal salaam”.
Inspired from true events, ‘Jehanabad- Of Love & War’ is a story set in the year 2005, in a small town of Bihar where innocent love and anarchy of the land are brewing parallely and are bound to collide.
‘Jehanabad – Of Love & War’ on SonyLIV stars an ensemble cast of Ritwik Bhowmik, Harshita Gaur, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Rajat Kapoor, Sunil Sinha, Satyadeep Mishra, Rajesh Jais and Sonal Jha.
Rajeev Barnwal has written the story, screenplay and dialogues for ‘Jehanabad – Of Love & War’ and also directed it alongside Satyanshu Singh. Showurn by Sudhir Mishra, the show is produced by Indranil Chakraborty for Studio NEXT. ‘Jehanabad – Of Love & War’ will start streaming soon exclusively on SonyLIV.
