National Award recipient and creator of Emmy Award nominated series Ram Madhvani is bringing his next project ’The Waking Of A Nation’ to SonyLIV. An original series inspired by true events ‘The Waking Of A Nation’ will start streaming on SonyLIV from 7th March, 2025.
The show announce came with a teaser video that begins with the infamous Jallianwala Bagh massacre and goes on to tell how not many know about the British Rule’s conspiracy behind the heinous act.
‘The Waking Of A Nation’ follows a young lawyer, played by Taaruk Raina, who is nothing less than a revolutionary who not only wants to bring justice to the victims and their families but also expose the British rule’s conspiracy behind the whole thing.
This latest show comes after SonyLIV’s biggest budget series till date ‘Freedom At Midnight’ which was set during the time of partition. ‘The Waking Of A Nation’ captures the era well in the teaser and has an enthralling vibe to it that captures the attention from the start to the end.
Although it will be interesting v to see what side of the story ‘The waking Of A Nation’ has to offer, since Jallianwala Bagh is highly explored topic in the cinematic arena. The hopes are definitely high given Madhvani is helming the project.

Produced by Ram Madhvani Films, ‘The Waking Of A Nation’ will premiere on SonyLIV on 7th March, 2025 in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu.
