SonyLIV has dropped a new teaser of upcoming show, ‘Rocket Boys’, headlined by Jim Sarbh and Ishwak Singh (of ‘Paatal Lok’ fame). A period drama series, set against the backdrop of a new, independent India, the teaser of ‘Rocket Boys’ gives viewers a sneak peek into the life of India’s brightest nuclear physicists, Homi Bhabha (played by Sarbh) and Vikram Sarabhai (played by Singh). The show chronicles the life story and accomplishments of the two brilliant men who together, put India on the map for nuclear research.
A story of dreams turning into reality, the new teaser shows a brilliant Sarbh, irritated at the country using all products made in a foreign land, but having nothing made in-house. It is this frustration that results in the formation of India’s first nuclear research institute, Tata Institute Of Fundamental Research. In his words, “Everything is impossible, until it isn’t.” Between making great scientific discoveries together and envisaging a bright future for the coming generations, the teaser of ‘Rocket Boys’ gives a glimpse into this league of extraordinary gentlemen.
Created by Nikkhil Advani, Roy Kapur Films and Emmay Entertainment and jointly produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani, the show is directed by Abhay Pannu. ‘Rocket Boys’ boasts of a stellar cast, comprising Sarbh, Singh alongwith Regina Cassandra, each one with the potential of out-shining each other, though Sarbh stands out as the Parsi Bhabha, fitting the role perfectly. ‘Rocket Boys’ will soon begin streaming on SonyLiv.
