SonyLIV’s decision to make more people engage with their streaming of the UCL received a massively negative reception from fans. A pre-show talk called ‘Champions ka Charcha’ are bashed by fans for lacking the critical review and analysis typical and necessary of a sports pre and post-talk shows. Choosing to instead go for a gossip-type talk for a ‘modern audience’ was a huge misstep on the part of SonyLIV. It seems they failed to realise that UCL fans want to engage with the sport and not fluff trivia.
Viewers criticise this decision as it not only is unimportant to the ongoing sports event that is going on but also that it serves as a distraction from the actual event with an unnecessary and useless obstruction.
Fans seem to obviously think it’s disrespectful to an event as huge as UCL. ‘Champions Ka Charcha’ has been pointed out by fans to not have any of the elements present in a pre and post game sports talk show.
With no experts discussing and analysing the major points and moments from the sport it is detrimental to the event itself and is sure to bite SonyLIV on the back and set them back in the brutal OTT race.
@SonyLIV please stop this shitshow, UCL deserves the best pre and post match show as not this boredom...

Random jokes and fake banter discussing Man U and Liverpool along with North Korea and Facetime on a night when Arsenal play Madrid. At least get a serious football panel together or just show highlights. pic.twitter.com/HNR5v9ckml
@SonyLIV Has anyone told you how shit your champions league pre match show is or am I the first?
