After teasing viewers since months, homegrown streaming giant SonyLIV has finally revealed the first full-fledged trailer for its hotly awaited series ‘Charlie Chopra And The Mystery Of Solang Valley’. Even more exciting is the fact that Sony LIV has also revealed the release date for the murder mystery series. ‘Charlie Chopra And The Mystery Of Solang Valley’ releases on Sony LIV on 27th September, 2023.
The trailer for ‘Charlie Chopra And The Mystery Of Solang Valley‘ gives us an extended introduction at the primary characters in the series. Badass private investigator Charlie Chopra (Wamiqa Gabbi) must dig into the murder of a rich man in Solang Valley. She must contend with a town full of suspects, narratives filled with lies and an innocent convict. How will Charlie navigate through the mystery, when every face hides a secret.
The series is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, who has adapted it from a popular Agatha Christie novel, ‘The Sittaford Mystery’. It is Vishal Bhardwaj’s first Agatha Christie adaptation, which will also mark his OTT debut. Film buffs will know that Vishal Bhardwaj is the unparalleled master of adaptations of classics, having adapted several works of William Shakespeare for the big screen.
The series features an impressive ensemble cast, comprising Wamiqa Gabbi, Priyanshu Painyuli, Naseeruddin Shah, Neena Gupta, Ratna Pathak Shah, Gulshan Grover, Lara Dutta, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Vivaan Shah, Imaad Shah, Paoli Dam, amongst others.
The series is written and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. Anjum Rajabali and Jyotsna Hariharan are co-writers on the show. Vishal Bhardwaj has also produced the series, under his banner Vishal Bhardwaj Pictures, in association with Tusk Tale Films.
SonyLIV had earlier streamed the first episode of ‘Charlie Chopra And The Mystery Of Solang Valley’ back in June, as a pilot episode. The series will premiere on SonyLIV on 27th September, 2023.
