Tamil Star Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru (Aakasam Nee Haddura in Telugu) is all set to skip its theatrical release and release directly on Amazon Prime Video. The movie will have its digital premiere on November 12th on Amazon Prime as a Diwali Special. The makers have intensified promotions for the film on Tamil television, ahead of its premiere.
A 30-second teaser is being aired on TV channels, which has racy visuals of Suriya training in the army, and Mohan Babu motivating him to pursue his dream. There are also shots of Suriya undergoing various struggles in the process of starting India’s first low budget airlines. The promo carries the promise that the movie is intense and racy. Suriya is due for a big hit for his fans for a long time, and maybe, Soorarai Pottru will be that hit.
For those who do not know, Soorarai Pottru is the story of how a retired army officer dreams of starting an airlines with just Rs 6000 in his pocket. The story is all about the insults, red-tapism and negative energy pulling him back, while he tries to achieve his dream. It is loosely based on the life of Captain GR Gopinath, who started India’s first budget airlines, Air Deccan.
Anticipation for Soorarai Pottru has hit the roof, ahead of its Diwali release. The movie premieres on Amazon Prime Video on 12th November.
