We’re just a week away from the release of Akshay Kumar‘s ‘Sooryavanshi‘, that’s all set to hit theatres on the occasion of Diwali. The film already has an edge over other 2021 Bollywood releases, considering it’s the only film to have a two-week solo run at the box office this year. Promotions are on in full swing, with the first two song releases, the dhamakedaar remixed ‘Aila Re Aillaa’ and the love ballad, ‘Mere Yaara’, topping the music charts and getting the film all the buzz it needs. However, with the new boost, ‘Sooryavanshi’ is all set to rake in the numbers big time. Read on to find out all about it!
After the biggest relief for Bollywood came in the form of the reopening of cinema theatres in Maharashtra, albeit with 50% capacity, comes more great news. Theatres have been allowed to operate with 100% occupancy in the states of Delhi and Gujarat. With Rajasthan, Bihar and the southern states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu already operating with full capacity, trade analysts are predicting some humongous opening figures for ‘Sooryavanshi’. What’s more is that the states of UP, Punjab, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh too, are also expected to see full theatre occupancy by Diwali, just in time for the film’s release.
The Rohit Shetty directorial is sure to be the much needed Diwali Dhamaka and is expected to break records, pulling viewers back to theatres for good. The opening day numbers currently being predicted are in the range of 15-20 crores, though they could easily surpass that with the upcoming promotional activities. South star Allu Arjun was seen giving a shout-out to Team ‘Sooryavanshi’ at an event recently, that could surely help pull southern audiences to theatres too. Well, mark your calendars coz ‘Sooryavanshi’ is all set to storm the big screens from November 5!
