Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Sooryavanshi‘ is all set to hit theatres on the occasion of Diwali and the promotions are in full swing. The film already has an edge over other Bollywood releases this year, considering it has a two week solo run at the box office, with no films releasing between the 5th and 19th November. Post ‘Sooryavanshi’s first dhamakedaar song ‘Aila Re Aillaa‘, comes a love ballad, ‘Mere Yaara‘, featuring lead stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, together after a decade, in their signature style of romance.
Where ‘Aila Re Aillaa’ is a revived version of the earlier hit track from Akshay’s film ‘Khatta Meetha’, the new song ‘Mere Yaara’ is composed by Kaushik-Guddu-Akash (JAM8), with lyrics penned by Rashmi Virag. The song crooned by Arijit Singh and Neeti Mohan is mostly shot on a beach and provides a romantic angle to the action flick. Akshay and Katrina recreate their magic and remind us why the couple is loved so much. Seeing them together after more than a decade, post hits like ‘Singh is King’, ‘Namaste London’ and ‘Welcome’, this song fills you with a fresh dose of nostalgia.
The hype for ‘Sooryavanshi’ is only growing by the day with the additional tadka of the ‘Singham’ and ‘Simmba’ stars Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh, with the three going all in to promote the film in various, unique ways. The Rohit Shetty directorial is sure to be the much needed Diwali Dhamaka and is expected to break records, pulling viewers back to theatres for good. Interestingly, the angle surrounding the promotions is killing two birds with one stone. Along with creating buzz about the film that’s the fourth in the cop universe, the makers have taken it upon themselves to be the theatre revivers, with the task on in full swing. So mark your calendars coz ‘Sooryavanshi’ is all set to hit screens on 5th November!
