Spider-Man fans across the world were waiting with bated breath for many months for the much-anticipated trailer of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’. It seems their prayers were heard by at least someone when the online world was hit with the news of an apparent leak of the film’s trailer on social media platform (reported via The Hollywood Reporter).
The makers were quick to respond as they allegedly went into damage control mode by reporting all those leaked videos to the concerned authorities in order to get them removed. Leading entertainment portal THR reported that some Tweets of the apparently leaked videos were taken down and the copyright message was displayed: “The media has been disabled in response to a report from the copyright owner.” The other side of the story might be that the reported leak may merely be a fan-made video and not a leaked version of the film’s official trailer or clip.
‘Spider-Man: No Way Home‘ has been one of the buzziest titles amongst cinephiles. Many fan theories suggest that besides Tom Holland, the new Spider-Man film might also see the reprisal of Spider-Man roles by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. While those who already seem to be amongst the cast members include Zendaya (as MJ), Benedict Cumberbatch (as Doctor Strange), Alfred Molina (as Doctor Octavius), Jamie Fox (as Electro), besides Tom Holland of course.
Just a few days back, Marvel boss Kevin Feige had assured the fans that there would indeed be a film’s trailer, dispelling rumors suggesting otherwise. And the makers of the newest Spider-Man installment are rightfully leaving no stone unturned to keep the film’s plot and characters under the wrap in order to give the audiences the ultimate entertainment experience they have been beautifully delivering for the last two decades.
Directed by Jon Watts, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ is expected for a theatrical release on 17th December 2021. Meanwhile, we can just keep our fingers crossed for the makers to drop the film’s official trailer soon.
