Srijit Mukherjee is known for taking risks and choosing unconventional narratives for his movies and shows. And it has paid him off extremely well. And now, the filmmaker has choses a popular Feluda story as the sequel for his Feluda series.
‘Bhushwargo Bhoyonkor’ is the story and it will have the same actors as in his previous seasons. Srijit Mukherjee’s Feluda adaptation drew controversies (which was quite natural for a Satyajit Ray story adaptation) but gained appreciation as well. The cast of Srijit’s series is near perfect and their performances put them somewhere near to the actual characters by Ray. Audiences are fed up with Feluda movies but Srijit was able to revive the nostalgia regarding the characters. Directors like Arindam Sil and Sandeep Ray are overdoing it and making the stories bland and if there is someone who can continue to intrigue audiences with Feluda, it is Srijit.
The story tells about how Feluda and his gang go to Kashmir for a vacation and meet a retired judge who is suffering with guilt for convicting someone who he thinks to be innocent. The past strikes back violently and even Feluda’s own life is put in danger and it does not stay as a regular vacation for him anymore. It is one of the toughest stories to adapt and we will have to wait for a bit longer to see what Srijit Mukherjee has done with it.
