Srijit Mukherjee is all set to release his ‘Padatik’ and its first teaser was greeted with much love from audiences. But the filmmaker has already announced his next movie, which will have a huge star cast.
The movie is titled ‘Sotti Bole Sotti Kichu Nei’. From what we have seen in the recent filmography of Srijit, there are high chances that this movie will be a romantic one with multiple stories going on parallelly. It might as well be a thriller. The cast includes popular actors like Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Ritwick Chakroborty, Kanchan Mallick, Anirban Chakroborty, Arjun Chakroborty, Kaushik Sen and Rahul Banerjee. Filmmaker and actor Koushik Ganguly will also be in an important role.
The filmmaker has been bringing out movies after movies incessantly but somehow the quality of his previous films is amiss. Fans do not see him as the rescuer of modern Bengali cinema anymore. Meanwhile, Anjan Dutta, another filmmaker, has said that Srijit should worry less about box office now. Dutta is all praises for Srijit, and he says that his potential should not be wasted on average movies that target on making money. He should rather be ready to delve in experimental and risky projects like he did in the early years. Anjan Dutta’s words resonate with the concerns of most Srijit Mukherjee fans who have been waiting to see a masterpiece from him for a long time. But everytime there is only disappointment, be it at the time of ‘Oti Uttam’, or ‘Dawshom Awbotaar’ and ‘Shabaash Mithu’.
Hopefully, ‘Sotti Bole Sotti Kichhu Nei’ will revive the glory of Srijit Mukherjee.
