Joe and Anthony Russo’s next Netflix film ‘The Electric State’ has added some interesting new cast members. These include Academy Award nominee Stanley Tucci (‘The Devil Wears Prada’, ‘The Hunger Games’, ‘The Lovely Bones’), Michelle Yeoh (‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’, ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’, ‘Crazy Rich Asians’) and Jason Alexander (‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’, ‘Seinfeld’).
In addition to the above Brian Cox (‘Succession’) and Jenny Slate (‘Marcel the Shell with Shoes On’) also join the cast of ‘The Electric State’ in voice roles. These stars will be joining the previously announced Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, ‘The Electric State’ is written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely. The film is set in a retro-futuristic past where an orphaned teenager (Millie Bobby Brown) traverses the American West with a sweet but mysterious robot and an eccentric drifter in search of her younger brother.
Production beginning this fall, ‘The Electric State’ continues the Russo Brothers and AGBO’s successful partnership with Netflix following this summer’s hit ‘The Gray Man’ starring Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans and Ana de Armas, the 2020 release of Chris Hemsworth starrer ‘Extraction’ and the upcoming ‘Extraction 2’.
‘The Electric State’ is produced by Joe Russo, Anthony Russo & Mike Larocca for AGBO, Chris Castaldi, and Patrick Newall. Executive producers for the film include Angela Russo-Otstot, Jake Aust, Geoff Haley, Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely and Jeff Ford.
