The official trailer of Star Wars: The Acolyte Disney+ series has arrived. Created by Leslye Headland, the upcoming series takes place during the end of the High Republic era.
The almost two-minute trailer opens with showing the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. We see Lee Jung-jae (best known for his work in Netflix’s Squid Game) training the younglings about the ways of the Force. Apart from Jung-jae, the clip shows other talents like Carrie-Anne Moss, Dafne Keen, Amandla Stenberg, Manny Jacinto, and more.
The Acolyte will take place nearly 100 years before the events of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999). It will tell us about the time when the High Republic era was near its end. The spinoff series will explore the shadowy secrets and rising dark powers during that time.
Stenberg plays a former padawan in the series, who will reunite with her master, Jung-jae, to identify the mystery Jedi hunter. However, things take a dark turn after the master-padawan duo confronts the forces more sinister than they ever anticipated.
Star Wars: The Acolyte will have a double-episode premiere on June 4 on the Disney+ streaming platform. Indian viewers will be able to watch it on Disney+ Hotstar. Stay tuned for more updates. Enjoy the trailer below!
