The trailer for Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 is out now. Besides revealing Season 3’s release date, the latest clip teases the return of Asajj Ventress, Sheev Palpatine, and many more fan-favourite characters.
Season 3 will be the final entry of Star Wars: The Bad Batch. The final season will test the limits of the Batch (also known as Clone Force 99) while they try to free Omega from the Empire’s grasp. Season 2 ended with Tech’s tragic demise. He sacrificed himself to save the group on Eriadu. However, not all Star Wars fans were happy about his death as he was one of the most lovable characters in the show. Plus, Tech was the only character who displayed some real character growth throughout the last two seasons.
The most surprising thing about the latest trailer is Asajj Ventress’ return. The former Sith assassin turned bounty hunter returns with her yellow lightsaber. However, her return is surprising, considering she met her demise in the Star Wars: Dark Disciple novel. This is not the first time a fan-favourite character has returned to life after being considered dead. Darth Maul also got a new life in The Clone Wars animated series.
Mark your calendars.

For the fans who are worried about the canon, this is what the show’s supervising director, Brad Rau, has told the fans:
“We love Asajj Ventress. She’s a character that we’ve been wanting to tell more stories about. We don’t want to spoil anything, but want fans to know that any new storytelling with Ventress will align with the events of Star Wars: Dark Disciple.”
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 will have a three-episode premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on February 21, with finale scheduled to air on May 1. The final season will have a total of 15 action-packed and emotional episodes for fans. Stay tuned for more updates. Check out the trailer below.
