The duo of Stephen Graham and Shira Haas has been chosen to lead Netflix’s upcoming novel adaptation of ‘Bodies’. Alongside them, we have Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Kyle Soller, and Amaka Okafor in the cast. The former will portray the protagonist, Elias Mannix. On the flip side, Haas will play one of the investigating officers in the show, residing in Maplewood, Washington DC.
Deadline disclosed the adaptation of Paul Tomalin’s Bodies novel back in February. The UK-based crime series will have a total of 8 episodes. The story revolves around four detectives who try to solve some heinous murders in different periods in the city of London.
Apart from the leading duo, Fortune Llyod will play the character of DS Whitman. Additionally, Soller is DI Hillinghead and Okafor will play DS Hasan.
Stephen Graham is one of the most talented British performers. He is prominent for his work in various movies like Gangs of New York, Public Enemies, The Irishman, Pirates of the Caribbean movie series, and many more. Apart from his film roles, he has done an outstanding job in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire series. He also played Hayden Stagg in Peaky Blinders Season 6.
Israeli actress Shira Haas gained global fame after starring in Netflix’s miniseries, Unorthodox. She also received Golden Globes and Emmy Awards nominations for her phenomenal work. Plus, she is busy filming the forthcoming Golda Meir TV biopic.
Moonage Pictures is serving as the main producer of Bodies. And Marco Kreutzpaintner will helm the series. Furthermore, he will executively produce the show along with the novelist himself, Tomalin. No information has been given by Netflix yet regarding the show’s release window. Stay tuned for more updates.
