He is now creating another movie and it is being said that the movie is based loosely around his life. The movie is said to specially focus on the director’s childhood and what shaped him into becoming the person he is today.
Seth Rogen, is the latest star to join the team for the upcoming feature film and he has been given a major role. Rogen will be playing the role of Steven Spielberg’s favourite uncle from his childhood, who has had a major impact on his life during his childhood days.
Besides Seth Rogen, the other name that is attached to the movie at the moment is that of Michelle Williams who will be playing the role inspired by Steven Spielberg’s mother. The movie will also show his relations with his parents and especially his father. It is a well known fact that Steven Spielberg has had issues with his father and has portrayed it through the characters of his various movies too.
The movie will be starting its shoot in summer and will be releasing sometime next year. Since growing up in Arizona has shaped up Spielberg’s life, it is being said that the shoot will take place in Arizona itself. Besides that, the movie at the moment is still untitled. The makers are also on the lookout of various child actors who will be playing the role of Spielberg in different eras.
Steven Spielberg, the man behind the movie’s creation will not only direct but is also writing the script with long term collaborator Tony Kushner. Steven Spielberg already has a documentary dedicated to him, but it didn’t really touch much of his childhood. But, with this movie the makers sole focus will be to highlight the childhood that has helped Steven Spielberg, shape the masterpieces he has been creating over the years.
