American actress Kristen Stewart catapulted to teenage stardom with ‘The Twilight Saga’, a series of romance fantasy films adapted from Stephanie Meyer’s best-selling novel series of the same name. Her latest venture ‘Love Lies Bleeding’, is an electrifying love-thriller-drama, entrenched deeply in crime and passion, and how love often turns a blind eye to the former. Next up for her will be another career-defining project: a directorial feature film debut!
The film is based on ‘The Chronology of Water’, a piercing 2011 memoir by American writer Lidia Yuknavitch that explores her harrowing experiences with addiction and childhood sexual abuse. It follows her as she ultimately finds refuge both, in writing and competitive swimming. Stewart is all set to analyse the means of the writer’s catharsis in her debut film!
First announced at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, the project already has British actor Imogen Poots onboard to star as the lead. Described by the director herself as a ‘thrill ride hard to watch sometimes’, the upcoming feature already has fans worldwide excited and waiting with bated breath for further updates!
