The filming process for Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 5 is set to commence in early 2024. The streaming service and the Duffer Brothers are working hard to develop the final chapter of the Hawkins saga. As for the show’s fans, the fifth season will be a treat for them as it will contain plenty of surprising moments. Additionally, they may witness the return of some characters that have appeared in the previous instalments.
One of the Duffer brothers, Ross Duffer, recently shared a story on his Instagram account where he revealed the characters that will appear in Season 5. Among those characters’ names on the shared call sheet, the name of one character has been crossed out by the showrunner. As a result, many fans have started theorising about the “crossed-out” character that may appear in the final season.
Some strongly believe that Ross Duffer hinted at the debut of Linda Hamilton’s character in Stranger Things Season 5. The Terminator fame has joined the final season as an undisclosed figure. Netflix is keeping the details of Hamilton’s character under wraps. However, many believe that the female actor may play a brand new character in the fifth chapter.
We should not also ignore the odds of seeing again some of our favourite dead characters in Stranger Things. For instance, fans may watch the returns of Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) or Barb (Shannon Purser) in Season 5. They could come back through flashbacks or the nightmares developed by Vecna. Eddie’s heroic death in Season 4 broke the hearts of millions of the show’s fans. Barb shockingly died in the first season. Among many other things, her death was one of the most talked-about things in Season 1.
Surprisingly, Ross Duffer’s call sheet does not have the name of Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink). She was last seen lying on a hospital bed in Season 4. Eleven and the rest of her friends narrowly saved her from Vecna’s grasp in the previous entry. Will she be able to recover completely? That’s the question that will be answered in Stranger Things Season 5 on Netflix. Stay tuned for more updates.
