Director duo Matt and Ross Duffer have already confirmed that the fifth season of ‘Stranger Things‘ will be the last season for the show. The 4th one had huge success and the series has earned a large fan base. There is nothing to worry for fans as their favourite show ends, because the story will continue beyond the Netflix web series.
There will soon be a stage play on the Stranger Things which is titled ‘Stranger Things: The First Shadow’. The Duffer brothers have also talked about a possible a spin-off series of Stranger Things few days back. A brief synopsis of the play was shared and it will be telling the story of a very normal and regular city Hawkins based in 1959. A new student Henry Creel comes to the town and tries to start a new life. He has a troubled past and cannot get off his past so easily.
We will get to know a lot more about Henry, who had powers similar to Eleven and got to be the first subject for Dr. Benner’s experiment. There will be a lot more about the past of Joyce and Hopper and also a lot more history of Vecna.
This will be taking the fans to the very beginning of the Stranger Things universe and may serve as an origin story. We will be able to watch many spin-offs of the series after the play and there can be film and TV adaptations as well. The play is inside the shows in-universe canon and it will be an integral part.
There are some problems of staging the play too. Stranger Things has a worldwide fan following and the rights of the play currently belong exclusively to Phoenix Theaters and of course it will not be able to provide the opportunity of the view of the play to all the fans. If there is any streaming of the same later on, it will be mkre useful and it will be easier for fans to grasp many things and kmow the whole story.
