We don’t know what they are smoking, but all of a sudden, since the past year, Netflix manages to produce BBC and Nat Geo-level documentaries, and that too with great consistency. And their recent installment of a murder documentary is also getting some major traction as Director Sam Hobkinson did a good job with the show.
Plot-
In Omaha, mechanic Dave Kroupa’s venture into online dating introduces him to Cari Farver, leading to a casual relationship that quickly turns tumultuous. Despite Dave’s attempts to cool things off, Cari’s obsession intensifies, manifesting in relentless stalking and disturbing acts, including arson.

Opinion-
Now, a triangle love story isn’t the most innovative story for a documentary, but this manages to deliver the perfect shot of thrill and mystery. Besides building the perfect atmosphere, Sam Hobkinson did a perfect job in terms of storytelling, managing to maintain a great overall flow.
The story itself has a plethora of twists and turns, and the direction just makes it a tidy bit better.
But if you want to nitpick on it, there are fewer dialogues and narrations by the investigator or the actors on the investigation, which might take away a few points.
Stream Or Skip-
We aren’t saying that you have to stream it or you will miss out, but if you trust our call, then STREAM IT. There are definitely some better documentaries out there; just watch “Curry And Cyanide.”
This obviously doesn’t come that close to the Indian one, but “Lover, Stalker, Killer” manages to be one of the best watches of the week.
