We had informed our readers way back in September about Amazon Prime Video buying the streaming rights for the big-budget movie Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Now, the latest news is that the movie is slated to stream on Amazon Prime on 21st November, in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
The movie, made on a budget of 200 crore, has been mounted on a lavish scale and has a distinct Baahubali vibe. Produced by Chiranjeevi’s son, Ram Charan, it features Chiranjeevi in the titular character of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, the first freedom fighter in the history of India’s freedom struggle against the British. Mega star Amitabh Bachchan plays his mentor Gosaayi Venkanna in the movie.
Helmed by Kick director Surender Reddy, the film is based on the life of one of the first Indian warriors to fight against British rule in 1846, much before the first full-fledged uprising of 1857 against the British. Nayanthara plays the wife of Uyyalwada in the film.
The star-studded cast also includes Kiccha Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Tamannaah, Jagapathi Babu, Brahmaji and Ravi Kishan.
If you missed catching the exciting movie at the theatres, then here’s your chance to watch it online, when it begins streaming on 21 November on Amazon Prime Video.
