HBO’s terrific family and corporate drama series ‘Succession‘ is all set to return to our TV screens this year, with its new Season 4. Last night India time, the content behemoth announced the release date of the much awaited ‘Succession Season 4’, which will premiere worldwide on March 26th, 2023, Sunday. The series will premiere on the HBO TV channel in the US, on HBO Max on streaming, and on Disney Plus Hotstar in India. It will follow the one episode per week format for release.
The teaser of ‘Succession’ Season 4, launched last night, reveals that the new season of the show will pick up from the cliffhanger events of the finale of Season 3, when it was revealed that Logan Roy (Brian Cox) had betrayed his kids by secretly selling the family company, Waystar RoyCo, to tech entrepreneur Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård). The teaser also hints that the Roy siblings will finally form a united front to tackle their father, as the impending sale leads to an escalation in the struggle for power.
Succession Season 3 will see Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook and Kieran Culkin reprise their roles of Logan, Kendall, Shiv and Roman respectively. Alan Ruck, Justine Lupe, Matthew Macfadyen, David Rasche, Peter Friedman, Hiam Abbass, Nicholas Braun, and Alexander Skarsgård, among others, too join Succession Season 4. New cast members include Annabeth Gish, Adam Godley, Eili Harboe, and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson. Jesse Armstrong is the creator of Succession.
