Suits producer Gene Klein has discussed the possibility of reviving the iconic legal drama series. The show has gained significant attention after breaking several streaming records on Netflix and Peacock. Despite reaching its culmination in 2019, the show is still attracting significant viewership. On last week’s Nielsen chart (June 26-July 2), the series displayed over 3.1 billion minutes of streaming.
Due to Suits’ renaissance on Netflix, Klein recently talked to TVLine about the series’ growing prominence and its possible revival. Yes, the show ended with Season 9. But Klein wants to bring back the gang for a reunion. This is what he said in his interview:
“You know, I’ve mentioned to Aaron that I keep, in this era of reboots and reunions and all this other stuff, that I’m expecting a call at some point. But I’m not aware of any serious conversations. It’s just one of those things where, in this day and age, you wouldn’t be surprised if somebody called you someday. But so far, nothing that I’m aware of.”
‘Suits’ has gone through significant shufflings in its cast throughout its entire run. Many original members had left, starting with Jessica (Gina Torres). The actress left the show in Season 6. Soon, the storyline between Rachel and Mike was dropped after Meghan Markle got married to Prince Harry. Season 9’s finale showed Harry and Donna resigning from the firm as they wanted to shift to Seattle to start a new life and work with Mike and Rachel, leaving behind Louis to run the firm.
If a revival does happen in the future, we could witness Harvey and Donna making adjustments to their new life after shifting to Seattle. Additionally, fans can see how Louis manages the original firm under his leadership. Also, the revived series could touch Jessica’s life, who moved to Chicago.
Created by Aaron Korsh, Suits starred Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty, Rick Hoffman, Patrick J. Adams, Gina Torres, Meghan Markle, and more. Stay tuned for more updates.
