Netflix is back with the finale season for the Italian drama TV series “Summertime,” loosely based on Federico Moccia’s book series “Three metres above the sky.” Today the streaming platform dropped the trailer for season 3, that is slated to release this May 4.
The plot is based on two young adults, Alessandro “Ale” Alba (played by Ludovico Tersigni) and Summer Bennati (Coco Rebecca Edogamhe) from strikingly different backgrounds, who falls in love during a summer on Italy’s Adriatic coast, Cesenatico.
Season 3 will delve into the lives of the protagonists, their dilemma and the difficult choices they’ve to make to understand who they really want to be. The characters will be entangled in love triangles and lines of friendship will be put to test.
On 2020, Netflix released the first season of this series, and ever since then it has been one of the most popular Netflix titles in Italy and has been widely acclaimed in abroad as well.
The amalgamation of the elements are perfect to make it a wholesome teen drama- friends, family, passionate love making scenes, the search for one’s identity, the want for redemption, and above all, the belief that if you truly desire something, then the universe will definitely make it happen for you.
The warm toned scenarios in the trailer perfectly depicted a quintessential summer vibe and presented a visually aesthetic palette for the audiences. Sure enough, it will be quite interesting to visualise the passionate romance of summer for the last time, on the towns of Adriatic.
