Tollywood Macho Hero Gopichand will be next seen in a Sports drama, Seetimaar. The movie has been almost ready before the second wave but the release has been disrupted due to the subsequent Lockdown. The makers have initiated talks with OTT platforms for a possible Direct-to-OTT release. They even got a couple of offers.
But then, Seetimaarrmakers have signed a post-theatrical Satellite and OTT deal with Gemini TV. The team tried to pursue Sun Network to agree to the Direct-to-OTT release. But Sun Network did not agree. With written agreements in place, the denial has forced the makers to drop their OTT release plans. The movie will now release in theaters in September. They will announce a suitable release date in a day or two. The promotions will begin as soon as the release date is announced.
Milky Beauty Tamannah is the female lead in this movie. Both Gopichand and Tamannah will be seen as Kabaddi Coaches in the movie. Sampath Nandi directs the film which has music by Mani Sharma. Telugu box office is slowly returning to normal with the audience coming to theaters. But there are issues in Andhra Pradesh that need to be sorted for complete normalcy.
