Running high on the box office success of his last film ‘Aranmanai 4’, director-actor Sundar C has announced his next film ‘Gangers’ where in he will be reuniting with veteran actor Vadivelu for a comedy drama.
The announcement for ‘Gangers’ comes on the occasion of Vadivelu’s birthday today with a first look poster. It features close up face shots of Vadivelu and Sundar C where both are yelling at each other probably over some silly stuff given the film’s comedy theme. Also, there are subtle hints in the poster that suggest the involvement of football in the film and the two lead stars are probably part of opposing teams.
Vadivelu and Sundar C have been frequent collaborators and have worked together in many films. In fact Sundar’s debut film in lead role ‘Thalai Nagaram’ co-starrer Vadivelu. Their other common credits include ‘Giri’, ‘Chinna’, ‘Winner’, ‘Rendu’ and ‘London’. Their last film together was ‘Nagaram Marupakkam’ that came out in 2010.
In addition to Vadivelu and Sundar C, who will also direct the film, ‘Gangers’ stars an ensemble cast that includes Catherine Tresa, Mime Gopi, Bagavathi Perumal, Hareesh Peradi, Aruldoss, Munishkanth and Vichu Viswanath.
E Krishnasamy will serve as ‘Gangers’ cinematographer with editing by Praveen Antony. C Sathya will compose music for the film. Produced by Khushbu Sundar under her banner Avni Cinemax and Benzz Media, ‘Gangers’ will soon release in cinemas.
