Sunday Binge Covered: Latest OTT Releases To Catch This Weekend

September has officially shaped up to be a month of blockbuster releases to take care of your every weekend. Although theatres have reopened in most parts of the country, are you one of those stuck at home this weekend with cinema halls not open in your state yet? Have you seen almost everything there is and having major ‘Fomo’ to be missing out on the latest theatre releases? Well, fret not, coz we’ve got you covered! If you’re confused as to what’s new to watch, here’s all the latest releases you can stream to make your Sunday a Funday!

1. Cinderella (Amazon Prime Video)
This romantic musical take on the classic fairytale, is directed by Kay Cannon and marks the film debut of singer Camila Cabello. The film also stars Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter and Pierce Brosnan in supporting roles and will have you channeling your inner diva right away!

2. Money Heist Part 5 (Netflix)
The much-loved Spanish series is back with its 5th part and fans have gone crazy! Created by Alex Pina, the show stars Álvaro Morte as the Professor, with Úrsula Corberó, Itziar Ituño, Pedro Alonso, Alba Flores, Miguel Herrán and Jaime Lorente in titular roles. 3. Helmet (Zee5)
Directed by Satramm Ramani, this quirky comedy about a condom stash stars Aparshakti Khurana and Pranutan Bahl in the lead, with Abhishek Banerjee and
Rohan Shankar. This film will see Aparshakti playing the lead for the first time after doing many supporting roles.

4. Black Widow (Disney+Hotstar)
This American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics, is the 24th MCU film and primarily features the character of the Black Widow. The film directed by Cate Shortland, stars Scarlett Johansson in the lead, alongside Florence Pugh, David Harbour, O-T Fagbenle, Olga Kurylenko, William Hurt, Ray Winstone and Rachel Weisz.

5. Alpha Adimai (SonyLiv)
This Tamil crime-thriller is a trilogy, who’s first part releases on the streaming platform on 3rd September. An insight into the dark world of the illegal drug trade, this film directed by Jenovi, stars newcomers Eeshwar, Kalki, Arun and Vinod Varma in prominent roles.

6. Kalira Atita (MX Player, Mubi)
This movie directed by Nila Madhab is an Oriya film, inspired by prophecies of Achyutananda Das, a 16-century Saint from Odisha. This much-acclaimed rural drama stars Pitobash Tripathy in the lead and is one to catch if you’re in that off-beat mood.

7. Paagal (Amazon Prime Video)
This Telugu romcom, starring Vishwak Sen, Nivetha Pethuraj and Murli Sharma among others, released in theatres last month and if you haven’t managed to watch it yet, you can stream it now! It centres on a young man who romances every girl he comes across. But tables turn when he falls hard for a girl he wants as his true love.
