Zee5‘s latest web show ‘Sunflower’ has not only got it’s lead but has also begun shooting. The famous comedian-actor Sunil Grover is all set to play the lead role in Vikas Bahl’s digital début ‘Sunflower’ that will premiere on Zee5 in April 2021.
‘Sunflower’ is described as “a unique situational crime-comedy web series”. The Zee5 show is set in the eponymous middle-class housing society in Mumbai with some fun and quirky characters. The series has been touted to be full of thrill, comedy and drama.
Sunil Grover has been part of various comedy shows and bollywood films, but is most fondly remembered for his portrayal of ‘Gutthi’, ‘Rinku Bhabhi’ and ‘Dr. Mashoor Gulati’ in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. He has worked in films like ‘Bharat’ (2019), ‘Patakha’ (2018), ‘Gabbar Is Back’ (2015), ‘The Legend Of Bhagat Singh’ (2002) and many more.
Co-directed by Vikas Bahl (Queen, Super 30) and Rahul Sengupta, ‘Sunflower’ is being produced by Reliance Entertainment and Good Co. Vikas Bahl will also serve as the showrunner for ‘Sunflower’ that is all set for an April 2021 release on Zee5.
