Sunny Leone started a new journey after the lockdown has been easing down around the country with Vikram Bhatt’s new action drama web series “Anamika”. Sunny Leone topped the charts for 8 consecutive years for being the most searched Indian on Google, never got her due credit in the industry for being an actress, which she claims is because of her past. People in the industry are still not open towards her, which she has already revealed in previous interviews.
Her latest web series will be 10 episodes long and will see her in a new avatar of a badass action chick with guns and fight scenes going around. The series at the moment is planned to be released on the home grown streaming website MXPlayer. The dates for the release haven’t been disclosed yet, as the filming of the series has just begun. Vikram Bhatt has mentioned how the pandemic caused a major setback for the series to get started as nothing went on according to plan.
Sunny Leone on the other hand, has received quite a few web series and has been doing it well in this arena. Though, it would be really great to see her in something that hits the chart and proves her acting skills to the industry that has refused her over and over again. Earlier she has been doing roles that were somehow more inclined to her previous job of being an adult film star. Though her acting skills were applauded her work didn’t receive the kind of praise one expects. In recent times, she has taken up more action oriented work, the last one being “Bullet”, which also will be streaming on MXPlayer and now this.
Maybe “Anamika” will be able to prove her worth her worth or maybe Vikram Bhatt will spread his “magic” and turn it into something that she has already been part of, which are her earlier movies and web series. Only time and her dedication will be the judge of that and one can then definitely see if it is worth it or not.
