Crucial details Of Shahid Kapoor’s OTT debut are out. As we had reported earlier (Check here), Shahid Kapoor has signed a show for Amazon Prime Video, to be directed by none other than director duo Raj & DK, the blue-eyed boys of Amazon Prime Video ever since The Family Man became a huge hit. Shahid Kapoor’s series is called Sunny, with the actor playing the titular role of Sunny in it.
The rest of the cast for Sunny is equally stunning. South superstar Vijay Sethupathi will play the villain in the series. South actress Rashi Khanna has been signed on to play the female lead. Lastly, director and actor Amol Gupte will also play a pivotal role in the series.
The story was first broken by online media publication, Peeping Moon. Shoot is slated to begin in Goa from the coming week. Raj & DK hope to wrap up the shoot by April. All that is known at present is that Sunny is an action thriller, and the makers have initially planned it as a two-season show. Details of the plot and other cast members will be revealed gradually.
We had also informed our readers (Check Here) of Shahid Kapoor’s feature film debut on OTT with Netflix’s epic extravaganza, based on the Indian Armed Forces’ Operation Cactus. Shahid Kapoor will play the character of Brigadier Farukh Bulsara, the hero of Operation Cactus, whose alacrity won the day for India.
The as-yet-untitled movie will be directed by Aditya Nimbalkar, erstwhile assistant to well-known director Vishal Bhardwaj. Shahid Kapoor’s OTT debut feature film will be produced by Fox Star India for Netflix.
