Netflix and Tiger Baby Films have finally released the first song from their upcoming Indian original film, ‘The Archies’. The song is titled ‘Sunoh’, and it is a peppy, foot-tapping number that captures the vibrant, whimsical energy of the Archies gang. For those who don’t know, ‘The Archies’ premieres on Netflix worldwide on 7th December, 2023.
The first song from ‘The Archies’ sets the perfect tone for the Anglo Indian and sixties backdrop of the movie. ‘Sunoh’ is sung by The Archies, the eponymous band compromising the gang – Archie on the vocals, Jughead handling the drums, and Reggie strumming the guitar. The visuals also use the song to introduce viewers to the cast members.
‘Sunoh’ is crooned by Tejas, while the lyrics are written by Javed Akhtar and Dot. Ankur Tewari and The Islanders have composed the music for ‘Sunoh’. Check out the song here –
The cast of ‘The Archies’ comprises Suhana Khan as Veronica, Khushi Kapoor as Betty, Agastya Nanda as Archie, Mihir Ahuja as Jughead, Vedang Raina as Reggie, Yuvraj Menda as Dilton, and Dot as Ethel.
Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the movie will be a live-action musical, capturing the whims and fancies of our favourite comic characters from our growing up years. The film is written by Reema Kagti, Zoya Akhtar and Ayesha Dhillon. The Archies is produced by Tiger Baby Films, in association with Archie Comic Publications, Inc.
