American superhero crime drama television series developed by Bruno Heller and produced by Warner Bros. Television and based on characters from the Batman mythos in comic books published by DC Comics : ‘Gotham’ is moving out of Netflix to HBO Max this month end, i.e 30th September.
The show follows Detective James Gordon’s early days at the Gotham City Police Department following the murder of Bruce Wayne’s parents: Thomas and Martha Wayne. The case acquaints him with the slain couple’s son and future caped crusader. The show also tracks the origin stories of Batman’s infamous rogues gallery.
Gotham originally aired on Fox from September 22, 2014, to April 25, 2019. Spanning over five seasons and comprising a total of 100 episodes. The series features an ensemble cast that includes Ben McKenzie as James Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, and David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne.
Although its clear that all the five seasons of the superhero crime drama will move out of Netflix to HBO Max, its unclear on which platform will the show be retained in India, if at all it is retained. For now the show alongside few other titles like Catch Me If You Can, Made of Honor and The Perfect Storm will be leaving Netflix this month. Stay tuned for more updates.
