CW’s Superman & Lois is all set to arrive on 23rd February 2021 with it’s pilot season. But with one week left for its release, the show has already gotten favourable reviews from Rotten Tomatoes. The superhero drama show currently holds a rating of 89% which makes it “fresh”.
Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tulloch respectively in the titular characters. Although both the characters have made several appearances in past arrowverse shows, this show will serve them as the lead characters. After Crisis of Infinite Earths, all the major characters of arrowverse landed on the same earth which gives a whole lot of potential ideas for crossovers.
With Arrow gone and Supergirl set to end this year with its sixth season, Superman & Lois by default becomes the next big thing on the CW network along with The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. It will be interesting to see how the DCTV universe pans out.
Talking about the show, Superman & Lois will follow the story of the couple and their daily life journey as they return back to Smallville. In the recent trailer released by DC we see that Superman tells his sons about his true identity which very well might endanger their family. With Clark and Lois trying to keep the family together, a new stranger arrives in the town and it’s upto Superman to save everyone.
In the trailer we can see that the show has a movie like feel to it, with the way it has been shot. The cinematography and the setting of the show will definitely excite the audience. And this makes one think that if and whether CW is trying to go a long run with it. It will be interesting to see how the pilot turns out. Talking about the pilot, the reviews on Rotten Tomatoes are promising as hell, with praises towards the acting and the storyline.
Apart from Hoechlin and Tulloch, the show also stars Jordan Elsass, Alexander Garfin, Dylan Walsh, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Erik Valdez and Inde Navarette in crucial roles.
