Tollywood’s leading production house, Suresh Productions stirred a huge controversy after reports surfaced that it is in talks for the direct Online release of Narappa, Drushyam 2, and Virata Parvam. It has led to a huge outcry from fans demanding that the decision should be taken back.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce also threatened of ‘further steps’ if Telugu producers do not restrain from OTT releases. We do not know what has forced but the makers are reportedly reconsidering the decision about the OTT release of Narappa. Sources say that they will now wait for the theaters to open to release the movie. We do not know about the remaining two releases.
If true, Daggubati fans will take it. Narappa is a mass appearance of Venkatesh after a long time and they are dying to see it on the big screen. So, they will be very happy with this decision. The news comes at the time when the Andhra Pradesh government has allowed the opening of theaters with 50% occupancy from July 8th.
Narappa is the official Telugu remake of Tamil classic blockbuster, Asuran starring Dhanush. Srikanth Addala who previously made Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is directing the film.
