Touted as a festive winner Aha Video India announced yesterday the release of ‘Swathimuthyam’ on the platform on 28th October. Apparently, the viewers demanded an early release and thus ‘Swathimuthyam’ will now premiere four days early on the auspicious occasion of Diwali on 24th October, 2022.
Written and directed by Lakshman K Krishna, ‘Swathimuthyam’ is a Telugu language comedy drama film that released in cinemas on 5th October, 2022. The film failed to make much impact and is now headed for its digital premiere within 20 days of its theatrical release.
The earlier scheduled streaming date of 28th October would still have given the film a little over three weeks window in theatres. But this pre-ponement takes that away from ‘Swathimuthyam’ and instead the makers are now trying to reap the festive holiday benefit for the film on OTT.
‘Swathimuthyam’ is the debut film of Bellamkonda Ganesh who stars alongside Varsha Bollamma (‘Bigil’, ‘Kalyanam’) in lead role. The film follows the dramatic life of an innocent boy Bala (Ganesh), who is pure at heart and celebrates life and love while his thoughts about marriage evolve.
Produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, ‘Swathimuthyam’ also stars Vennela Kishore, Naresh, Pragathi, Rao Ramesh, Surekha Vani, Subbaraju and Harshavardhan among others.
‘Swathimuthyam’ will premiere on Aha Video India on 24th October, 2022.
