Taapsee Pannu without doubt has been the highlight of Tinsel town for quite some time now. This year has been an absolute Taapsee Pannu and nobody can deny that. The actress is not only getting continuous movie offers but is also seeing the release of many of her new movies. Taapsee Pannu has not only been ruling the Bollywood screens but has also returned to Telugu and Tamil films. She has a bunch of new movies lined up for release and out of all those, one much awaited is her Tamil film.
The Tamil film she is in is also starring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead. The movie even though seemingly has a title- “Annabelle Subramaniam”, it is being reported as untitled, and the movie will be a horror comedy. The movie along with Taapsee Pannu and Vijay Sethupathi will also star Yogi Babu in a crucial role. Besides that Jagathi Babu has been introduced in the film as the main antagonist. The movie will be directed by Deepak Sundaranjan, who will mark his directorial debut with the film.
With stars like Vijay Sethupathi, Taapsee Pannu in the lead, fans were expecting that movie to drop in theatres but now the rumors and the buzz around the movie’s release suggest that it is eyeing an OTT release. In fact, if the rumors are to be believed, the movie will be released on Disney+ Hotstar. It is a known fact that Disney+ Hotstar has been making its presence when it comes to Tamil content and with another big star movie addition; Disney+ Hotstar definitely steals the game here.
Coming back to the movie, nothing much is known about the film. But going with the theme of horror-comedy it will surely garner attention, as it has become one of the leading genres in the Indian film scene currently. Besides this movie, Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee Pannu have never shared the screen. The only instance that pops up in everyone’s head is when both the stars appeared in a cameo role for the movie Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam in 2014.
Just like we said earlier, Taapsee Pannu has a loaded year ahead. This is not the only Tamil film she has in store, she also has movies like Jana Gana Mana and Alien lined up for release. Along with this, she will be returning to the Telugu industry with the movie “Mishan Impossible”. As for her Hindi movies, she has Looop Lapeta, Rashmi Rocket, Shabaash Mithu, Blurr in store.
Also, not to mention how busy the superstar Vijay Sethupathi is with his upcoming slate of movies, out of which the one that has been making news recently is “Tughlaq Durbar”. He even has a Malayalam movie in-store and also two Hindi movies. It is safe to say that we definitely will be seeing a lot of Taapsee Pannu and Vijay Sethupathi in the coming times.
