Zee5 has dropped the trailer for ‘Tadka’, it’s latest original film by national award winning actor-director Prakash Raj. Remake of the 2011 Malayalam film ‘Salt N’ Pepper’, ‘Tadka’ will premiere only on Zee5 on 4th November, 2022.
Almost a minute long ‘Tadka’ trailer begins with Tukaram (Nana Patekar) on a date in a restaurant where it goes all wrong over a fresh lime soda. Turns out it’s the story of his life as he puts food over his love life and that has made it hard for his family to find a match for him. Things get spiced up when he connects with Madhura over phone from a wrong number.
The other track going on in the film is that of Tukaram’s nephew Siddharth (Ali Fazal) as he experiences the young romance with Nicole Taapsee Pannu. This young couple have their own set of modern day relationship issues. It all starts to get connected as both the females in these odd relations work at the same radio station.
‘Tadka’ is a Zee5 original film that narrates the unconventional tale of Tukaram, an old-school middle aged man who has a passion for food. The film follows what happens when a sudden misplaced call adds the much needed spice of love to his life.
‘Tadka’ is a romantic comedy drama and is the Hindi remake of the 2011 Malayalam blockbuster film ‘Salt N’ Pepper’ with a story from Syam Pushkaran and Dileesh Nair. Prakash Raj had bought the Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi rights versions of the film and he himself starred in the first three versions.
Starring Nana Patekar, Ali Fazal, Shriya Saran, Taapsee Pannu, Rajesh Sharma, Lillete Dubey, Murali Sharma and Naveen Kaushik among others, ‘Tadka’ is written by Surya Menon and directed by Prakash Raj.
‘Tadka’ is produced by Sameer Dixit, Jatish Varma via their Movie Makers Inc. banner and Prakash Raj under his Prakash Raj Productions. Preetha Jayaraman has done the cinematography for the film with editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. Music credits for ‘Tadka’ include Ilaiyaraaja, Vivek Kar, Ankit Tiwari, Anil Rubens and Kapil Jangir.
‘Tadka’ has finally found home on Zee5 and will premiere on the platform on 4th November, 2022.
