Tahar Rahim To Star in Ridley Scott’s Apple TV+ Film ‘Napoleon’

After directing his last two feature films namely the Matt Damon starrer historical drama ‘The Last Duel’ and the biographical crime film ‘House of Gucci’ starring Lady Gaga, veteran filmmaker Ridley Scott is busy nowadays with his next project for Apple TV Plus.

We are talking about the film ‘Napoleon’ which is based on the French military and political leader Napoleon Bonaparte, his rise to power, and his turbulent relationship with his wife Josephine. The film will reunite Ridley Scott with former collaborator and Oscar-winning actor Joaquin Phoenix as the French military and political leader Napoleon alongside Oscar nominee Vanessa Kirby as Napoleon’s love interest and better half Empress Josephine.

And in another recent development, well-known French actor Tahar Rahim has also been roped in to star in Ridley Scott’s next film ‘Napoleon’. Tahar Rahim came into the limelight after featuring in the acclaimed French film ‘A Prophet’ and ‘The Looming Tower’ series. He further made his mark by bagging the lead role as the infamous French serial killer Charles Sobhraj in ‘The Serpent’ miniseries. He was last seen in Kevin MacDonald’s legal drama ‘The Mauritanian’ co-starring Jodie Foster and Benedict Cumberbatch.

Besides Ridley Scott’s ‘Napoleon’, the Golden Globe and BAFTA nominee Tahir Rahim is also engaged in other acting projects such as the star-studded Apple TV Plus anthology series titled ‘Extrapolations’ by Scott Z.
