It’s a happy news for Horror fanatics! An even more happy news for asian-cult horror fans. The Taiwanese language Film ‘Incantation’, that theatrically released on March 18th, 2022 gets international streaming release on Netflix on July 8th. The horror blockbuster will also start streaming on Netflix India from the same date. Incantation is directed by Kevin Ko who previously helmed Invitation Only (2009) and A Choo (2020), from a screenplay he co-wrote with Chang Che-wei. The film stars Tsai Hsuan-yen, Huang Sin-ting, Kao Ying-hsuan, Sean Lin and RQ in major roles.
Incantation is a found-footage-horror loosely based on a true story in Taiwan about a family of cult worshippers. Six years ago, Li Ronan is cursed after she breaks a religious taboo while shooting for a Ghost Hunter YouTube channel and now must protect her daughter from the aftermath of the curse bestowed upon her and people around her.
Incantation made records upon its release in the month of march and became the highest-grossing Taiwanese film of 2022. The film also made the record of highest grossing horror outing ever in the history of Taiwanese Cinema. Incantation is one solid recommendation from us. Please do not miss it if you love gothic and cult horror!
