A Tamil children’s drama, ‘Erumbu’ is now available to watch on Amazon Prime Video. ‘Erumbu’ is written and directed by filmmaker Suresh G. The cast includes actors like Charle, M. S. Bhaskar, George Maryan, Monica Siva, Shakthi Rithvik and more. The leading performers are child actors and they have done a commendable job there.
The movie tells the story of two young children Monica and Sakthi who have to overcome a pretty serious problem. Sakthi loses a one gram golden ring and wants to find it before his family comes home. He searches for the ring all around, and his sister and a friend help him in the pursuit.
The burden on the shoulders is huge, as compared to the age of the two children. They feel that it is similar to the ant’s burden that is twenty times heavier than its body. This metaphor paves the way to the naming of the movie as Erumbu means ‘ant’ in Tamil.
The movie had its theatrical release on the 16th of June this year and it gathered mixed reviews from critics and audiences. The movie is somewhat predictable but is a must watch if someone is looking for a simple and heart touching story. The cinematography and the background music is handled pretty well. The music is composed by Arun Raj and the cinematography is handled by K. S. Kalidass.
