Tamil language romantic comedy ‘Coffee with Kadhal’ released at the theatres this week. Sundar C who is well known also as an actor directed popular films like Arunanchalam, Anbe Sivam etc. Coffee with Kadhal is his directorial come-back to rom-com after his string with horror comedies including Aranmanai, Aranmanai 2 and Aranmanai 3. The film also marks Sundar C’s reunion with actor Jiiva after Kalakalappu 2 (2018). Binged has learnt that the streaming rights of Coffee with Kadhal is with Zee5. The streaming date is not revealed yet, but one could expect the film to premiere on the platform after 28 day window period.
The romantic comedy, also a family drama focusses on a family consisting of three brothers and a sister. The eldest son is very responsible and follows the footsteps of his father. The other two sons are however not cut from the same cloth. The fun moments, conflicts, love lives of the siblings form the major crux of the plot. The film has been gaining mixed reviews from the critics and comparatively positive reception from the theatre going audience.
Coffee with Kadhal is written and directed by Sundar C. Bankrolled by Khushbu, A. C. S. Arun Kumar and A. C. Shanmugam under the banner of Avni Cinemax and Benzz Media (P) Ltd, the film stars Jiiva, Jai, Srikanth, Malvika Sharma, Amritha Aiyer, Raiza Wilson, Aishwarya Dutta, Samyuktha Shanmuganathan and Dhivyadharshini in prominent roles.The film’s music and score is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
