Tamil film ‘Agent Kannayiram‘ arrived in theatres on November 25th, 2022. It is a dark comedy and suspense mystery film, and the official Tamil remake of the hit Telugu film ‘Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya’. The Santhanam starrer ‘Agent Kannayiram’ was a flop at the box office, with viewers rejecting the remake of the popular Telugu hit, due to the poor script and lack of intrigue in the film.
Though not many people watched ‘Agent Kannayiram’ in the theatres, most digital viewers are keen to watch it on OTT. Well, now we’ve got confirmed information on the ‘Agent Kannayiram’ OTT release date and OTT platform it will premiere on. ‘Agent Kannayiram’ arrives on Sun NXT on 23rd December, which is this Friday.
‘Agent Kannayiram’ is centred on an aspiring detective, who’s caught up in a vexing mystery in his village, revolving around dead bodies. To his shock and surprise, he discovers that his own mother’s dead body, who died a few years ago, too had been exploited in the shocking criminal nexus in his village. Now he must risk his life to expose and catch the gang behind the murders.
The 2019 original film Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya starred Naveen Polishetty and Shruti Sharma in the lead roles. ‘Agent Kannayiram’ stars Santhanam and Riya Suman in the same roles. The film is directed by Manoj Beedha and produced by Labyrinth Films. The music for the film is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
