Gautham Vasudev Menon’s action thriller film ‘Joshua: Imai Pol Kaakha’ hit theatres on 1st March, 2024. Despite being a high concept film, Joshua received negative reviews from both critics and audiences. Most audiences praised the action set pieces in Joshua, but panned the weak narrative. The movie proved to be a major disaster at the box office, tanking within the first week of release itself.
Now that the mandatory four weeks of exclusive theatrical window are up, it’s time for the Joshua OTT release. All those who have been waiting for the OTT release of Joshua, we have some good news for you. The stylish crime film is now streaming on Prime Video India, albeit only in Tamil.
The plot of Joshua follows the titular character Joshua, a contract killer-turned bodyguard working in private security. The former assassin is assigned to protect his ex-girlfriend, Kundhavi Chidambaram, a lawyer based in New York, in Chennai as she is being targeted by the leader of a Mexican drug cartel. Joshua stars Varun in the title role, alongside Krishna and debutante Raahei. Kitty, Mansoor Ali Khan, Dhivyadharshini, Vichithra, among others, form the supporting cast.
