Presented by Venkat Prabhu, Nanban Oruvan Vantha Piragu received mixed reviews from the audience upon its release on August 2nd. The film stars Ananth Ram, Bhavani Sre, Madan Gowri, and RJ Ananthi in prominent roles.
Not only Ananth star in the main lead, but has also directed and written the film. After a Theatrical release, the film is all set for a digital premiere on the Aha Tamil platform. Ananth’s comedic effort will be available to stream on Aha Tamil from September 13th.
The movie looks to be a touching examination of life, friendship, and the intricacies of interpersonal relationships. The protagonist of the tale is Anand, who looks back on his life in eight chapters as he returns to his hometown to be with his friends.
He begins to wonder about the ultimate meaning of life and his happiness as a result of this introspective voyage. After getting mixed reviews from the audience, critics might not recommend watching this family drama but giving it a go at least once would be no harm.
The film had it’s issues with the fans, mainly because of its flow. Several moments seem to go on forever, which makes for a tiresome watch. Despite being meant to be relatable, the characters are undeveloped and don’t really stick with you. Because of poor script and execution, the protagonist’s journey—which is meant to be the emotional center of the movie—doesn’t have the appropriate impact. There is very little exploration of the supporting cast, which may have given the narrative greater depth.
